I hope the images are enough for you to know what to do, I added some instructions but, they're vague.

This is made of Polymer clay:
Yellow- Dukit
White- Sculpey
Pale yellow- Sculpey in "Sunshine"

Shading with pastel... does it stay on? How do you keep it on?

You can glaze the creation and that would seal the pastel in ^^
Could use matte or gloss glaze depends on the effect you're going for.

Looks great!
I just wanted to say that when one end of a banana is green, then the other one is usually green as well. And there is this brown ending part on both sides too.
I'm sure you just simplified it for the sake of this tutorial but I wanted to mention it just in case or maybe for someone else reading the comments.
Anyway, I really admire how it turned out :)

When you say 'pastel', do you mean a chalk or oil pastel?
